most of ya'll remember me saying there was nothing but hot air propelling qcom near the $200 range. yes, some called my jealous. others told me to shut up and get on the train.

well, i wasn't jealous, just expressing my opinion based off my market analysis. was it good analysis? every bubble in the history of the world ends and ends badly - so i was comfortable history was on my side. wish i could get 100% historical returns on my lottery tickets! ;-)

my view on qcom is kind of mixed. 1. it is absurd to lump qcom in with the rambus frauds of the world. 2. qcom is a company that like to hype and tout (don't like that). 3. qcom probably does have very aggressive accounting (see #2). however, they have a neat technology and are a real company.

even so, it is hard for me to say qcom is at a value range now b/c i see the macro economy sinking further into oblivion. unemployment and fraud is escalating. investor sentiment is changing from "i could win the lotto..." to "the odds are 41 million to 1."

i wouldn't call qcom expensive now, either. they may be expensive, but my visibility isn't sharp enough to see. if the telecoms implode, surely they will take down qcom quite a few notches.

so, qcom gets a big "neutral" right now. that's better than my "sell this ethereal pig" i had when qcom was above $150, but not as good as most people would want to hear given qcom is down over 70% from its high.

best of luck...
