Greg says 60 Million still goes to State levels, and THAT's why I voting against it!!!

What he doesn't tell you is that this is a substantially reduced compromise, down from 457 Million last time.

At first blush, after reading his letter, this guy is a real sleaze, but this is just my preliminary opinion. But he does seem to make Skelling look like Mother Teresa.

It looks like that what he is setting up in his "free speech" argument is to immediately file suit to tie up the bill in litigation, if it passes. If this is correct, this guy, Walden is a real crumb-bum.

The reason he wrote you the letter in the first place is that he knows that 5 senators who fillibustered campaign reform last time, didn't get re-elected.

The McCain-Feingold bill is the companion measure to the Shays-Meehan bill in the House. The most important parts of the bill are the ban on unregulated soft money donations and the crackdown on campaign ads masquerading as “issue ads.”

The House has passed the Shays-Meehan bill twice before – each time with broad bipartisan support. Each time, nearly a quarter of all House Republicans joined nearly every Democrat in voting for the bill.
