What's so amazing about that? Everybody knows the Arabs don't want a single Jew anywhere near Jerusalem.

What IS enlightening, is what it says about the PALESTINIANS.

This is the most important offer that's been made by the Arab world for decades," he told Reuters news agency. "Prince Abdullah's offer is a very significant development that should be considered very seriously by the United States and Israel. [They] must not waste this historic opportunity.

How's that for a laugh? The Israelis gave them the same deal, minus West Jerusalem, a year ago and Arafat turned it down. Now it is a "historic opportunity" that the "United States and Israel" must not waste. The Israelis were willing to give up half of Jerusalem, the Palestinians aren't willing to settle for anything less than everything.

As to East Jerusalem outshining West Jerusalem, not likely. Any Palestinian state will be characterized by poverty, violence, corruption, and gangsterism. Same as it is now under the PA. Or any Arab regime, for that matter.
