Creationism is not high the list of most conservative organizations, if present at all. It is also not worth engaging in internecine warfare over.......

I understand that. But, if one is serious about waste from frivolous issues, rather than just bashing liberals, one cannot ignore it. Of all the frivolous issues that school systems and state governments waste time on, I can think of none more so than Creationism. It's worse than spotted owls, Heather, and the rest because it has too small a following to warrant so much attention on top of its being so utterly ignorant, which should antithetical to education. Creationism is the very best candidate there is for poster child for frivolous waste. You can't convincingly claim to be against frivolous waste if you brush off Creationism. If you really have your priorities in the right place, that is, that teaching Johnny to read is more important that partisan hegemony, then you would lead off with it or at least share the top billing between Creationism and fur coats or some other low-hanging liberal fruit. If, OTOH, you think it's more important to avoid internecine warfare...
