Geoff: I think you're right - the Freightrain analyses won't be the end of the story. The bulk sample will reveal only the diamond content of 6 sample pits located across 250 metres on the surface of a mag anomaly. The results will be interesting but may, or may not, represent the diamond potential of the rock below the pits.

This stage is, in conventional mineral exploration, equivalent to dirt bagging (i.e.soil sampling), an inexpensive step taken prior to drilling and bulk sampling.

Ultimately the Freightrain pipe (or pipes) will have to be defined by drilling and perhaps bulk sampled. If it's a bust, then as you say, there are many other pipes in the area with some good geochem - Cargo for example.

The JI play is alive and well. All it needs is time and money and maybe the efficient employment of both.
