Bought the APC Surge Arrest Professional. Yes, the modem runs through it, and I am now blessed with more modem disconnects than ever...more than before when I didn't have the APC. I know its not a back-up power version, but what i do is not important enough yet for that. 39.99 retial, yet i am sure you can get it cheaper through PC Mall or something. Later...
