I'm delighted to find somebody else who likes curling.

It's one of my very favorite sports to watch. A bit hard to understand at first, but it's the perfect blend of strategy and athletic ability. It's been called chess on ice, and that's not far off the reality.

I also love the fact that curlers are not professional athletes as in all the other sports. They are true amateurs, in the traditional spirit of the Olympics. They have jobs, and families, and home lives. They can be teachers, mechanics, small business owners, backhoe operators, a golf pro, you name it, they curl.

We're lucky enough to get Canadian TV here, so I am able to watch all the major tournaments. Wonderful stuff!
