i have read the literature on the yakuza loans. the articles i have read tell of loans from the banks to yakuza organizations that are bankrupt. the yakuza guys want more loans from the banks to keep the "enterprise" going. the yakuza use all sorts of psychological tools to get the message across to the various bankers. getting pushed in the way of a subway is mentioned often.

i have not read any articles where a bank has taken a loan from a yakuza organization. that appears not to have happened.

it is too bad that frontier justice is not practiced much in japan, if at all.
