Joe: Are you talking about text based text editors, or gui based text editors? emacs is available in both. I usually use it in a SSH session (i.e. text based). UltraEdit, which Ali mentioned, actually allows you to open and save files directly via FTP. The only downside is that scp is not (yet?) supported. -fyo
