Rob, strange you are asking. I just had a lengthy review with them late this afternoon. Technically, very good progress has been achieved, namely, samples that are about 1000 time thicker (1 mm) have been produced. In my mind there is no question those materials have very unique properties, and some immediate applications can be engineered. Major progress toward commercialization, is still impeded, however, by the lack of major funding. They have some angel funding on a monthly basis keeping the "place" operating, and in the last two months, it seems that some progress is occurring in getting one or more major investors in. I personally met few weeks back with one such "money source" on ROOTS' behalf. Once that happens, I am supposed to go out there again, and then help "plot a course" to initial commercialization.
I cannot be more specific in a public forum on this as an investment opportunity, and frankly, it fits only "accreditted investors". Those interested, really should discuss this with me off thread and through PM.
