cause:
1. JANUS (and others) want to avoid the next Enron and Tyco in their portfolios
2. They desire to diversify so are selling their biggest positions
3. Net redemptions require them to sell holdings to pay out shareholders bailing the ship

self-fulfilling prophesy. note that some of the big value funds apparently are buying AOL as the big growth funds are dumping. hmmm
