"overlay the RSI (14prd) for the $$index on a SP chart. check out when the RSI for the $$index is oversold (below 30) and then rebounds. this is usually a leading indicator for a rise in the SP, except for the end of august 2001. now i wouldn't make a trade on this info by itself but it is interesting. it led a major pivot in oct98 and minor pivots in july 99, and dec-jan00-01 but the end of aug01 nada... "

It looks interesting.

I'd like to backtest the 14prd RSI to see if a good trading strategy can be made using it. However, since I use my own code for backtesting and am not currently setup to test the RSI it will take some time.
