News 12 Networks Selects Front Porch Digital's BitScream(TM) VOD Transcoder As Foundation for Video-on-Demand Initiative

(OTC Bulletin Board: FPDI - news) today announced that BitScream VOD -- an enterprise-class, software-based transcoding solution that enables broadcasters to convert encoded content to digital formats for video-on-demand applications in real time -- has been selected by News 12 Networks as a key enabling technology to develop new video-on-demand (VOD) capabilities.

Further, by using BitScream VOD, News 12 Networks is able to implement an automated, unattended encoding process that significantly reduces costs and protects their existing investment in broadcast video servers, non-linear editing applications, and workstations.
