Actually this stuff is old news to investors who have had a knowledgable position in Cisco since the early 90's.

Heck I knew a lot of the founders had a position in Sequoia many years ago but people have not talked about it for a number of years. I'm talking about the 91 92 time frame. I think Forbes had articles about them back then. A number of these guys were involved with VC stuff so it doesn't surprise me. It's not illegal if it's done correctly and I have not seen any evidence to prove so otherwise.

A very good friend of mine is in a similar situation being an officer of a company and has positions in VC situations. He is very careful about discloser and SEC rules and officers take great pains to conform to those rules because of their positions.

I'm beginning to think we are going off the deep end with witch hunting here.

But let's have it take it's course.
