Response from Les Price CEO Medinah for similar claims made by Jorge Lopehandia against Barrick (ABX).

Medinah Minerals, Inc. CEO’s STATEMENT February 20, 2002
medinahminerals.com

"Dear Shareholders:

It has come to the Company’s attention that Mr. Jorge Lopehandia is posting on the Internet, a series of commentaries regarding Medinah and people associated with Medinah. The history of our relationship with Mr. Lopehandia is similar in many respects to that which he has cited with several other notable companies.

It is the Company’s opinion that Mr. Lopehandia is preying on public companies, in an Internet forum, in order to promote fear and distrust among shareholders. Public companies can be hurt by those who wish to attack with quasi facts, distorted truths and inaccurate statements. Medinah has already experienced this over the past six years by bashers, shorters and the like.

Running by the adage that “if you say it often enough and loud enough it becomes true” is not true! Medinah has a complete file on Mr. Lopehandia including all the documentation necessary to defend itself relative to the statements that have recently been made by Mr. Lopehandia.

Mr. Lopehandia has no credibility with Medinah nor does he have any claim against Medinah. Years ago, he signed settlement and severance agreements with Medinah and accepted final payment. Mr. Lopehandia has, on more than one
occasion, been physically removed from our office by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and has been given written notice to not trespass on Medinah property.

In summary, Medinah Minerals, Inc. categorically denies each and every one of Mr. Lopehandia’s egregious assertions and allegations.

Les PriceCEO,
Medinah Minerals, Inc. "
