A couple of observations:

1. Add bloodlust to the list of ecstasies. The killing frenzy is a primal emotional state which offers a uniquely ecstatic vantage. Hinduism recognizes this in the divine aspect of Shiva the destroyer. It's reality and power in nature and in the human experience cannot be denied.

2. Of course, add "bloodlust" into the mix and the exhortations to "live free in ecstasy" begin to sound less salutary. But that's just to human sensibilities. A fine example of a culture that incorporates all four is Gene Roddenberry's fictional Klingons. It's the reason they're so misunderstood. <g>
