OPTIONS GURUS.....question on somoething unusual i noticed.

DJX MAY 98 PUTS traded 27,000 contracts but OPEN ITNERST is only 100
DJX MAY 98 CALLS traded only few hundred contracts.

WHAT DOES HUGE PUT VOLUME but LOW OPEN ITNEREST MEAN....is something up here that i am missing.
