an opinion I saw:

For Friday, there are two scenarios outlined above in the short term time frame. If we head below 1690, the bearish one is likely and the index will head much lower with next support at 1620. If 1690 holds and the index reverses up before then, there could be a day long rally to finish a correction still in progress. Resistance at 1770 and 1780
