It is not a question of quoting the whole article. It is a question of leaving essential material out to score a point. All you had to do was tell that CNN had reported that potassium ferrocyanide could yield a lethal gas, or that the LA Times had said there was confusion about the composition of the material, but that the police had originally reported that it was potassium cyanide, in a dose sufficient to poison thousands of gallons of water. But that honesty would not have permitted you to insult me or my source, so you omitted it.
