When I say price, I mean it will reach level where owning QCOM will become compelling again. I feel QCOM has only price going for it short term, since the potential or story surrounding QCOM is tainted short term. I look at the market it very simple terms. You buy before others see the potential, or you buy after others have forgotten about the potential that still exists but might be delayed or sidetracked. Ask yourself this question. Why buy when everyone else sees the potential already? In both cases a long base is the best to buy off of. Why? A long base means that all the holders that are in or left are strong. If one buys a stock that has dropped fast, one is buying a stock that has built in disgruntled potential sellers waiting to get out as the stock moves higher, which many times leads to a false rally which cause the stock to drop back down. With QCOM, any buy I make will be treaded as a trade because of the massive over head resistance. Unless of course we get the needed wash out that I have been wanting to happen, and the stock dives down to or past 25 on a large vol. exhaustion blow-off, washing out all the weak hands. Still, I would rather see QCOM make a base for 4 or more months, and become dead money again. As we wait for the potential to built back into it, before I would consider QCOM a long term holding again.
