Yes. I recommended Lombard to many of my friends and I was initially happy with all of the bells and whistles. But you wait until they screw up a couple of orders like they did to me. Once you've missed a couple a good stock moves, you'll want to stangle someone. I gained from their low commissions, but lost in poor prices for stocks, and missed oppurtunities. Remember the saying " you get what you pay for"? It is definitely true in the brokerage industry. This past bull market has got everyone thinking that they can do-it-yourself. But the truth is people can't. Working people will lose lots of money. Over the past five or so years, individuals could throw darts and pick stocks that will go up. Or at least go up sometime later in the future so that they at least get their money back. That will end someday, and all of these little discount brokers will go belly-up. I've had four brokers in my life, Scwaub, OLDE, Waterhouse, and Lombard, before I decided to be my own broker. I work with a firm that has no proprietary products and has the same philosophy about the market that I do. Just make fucking money for people. I guess what I'm saying is don't get worked up over the technology whoop-la. Once you've found a broker whose phone is NEVER busy and one in which you can hear the print confirmation while still on the phone, then you'll be happy. Best of luck to you.--RON
