whitepine,

I've read "The Skeptical Environmentalist", Huber's "Hard Green" and the Economist and Scientific American materials that disputed Lomborg's work.

I was personally disappointed in the chicanery of Lomborg's work in areas that I was particularly familiar with. For example, he says that we have achieved a stable and sustainable ocean fishery of about 90 MM metric tons. What he utterly disregards is the collapse of several key fisheries, including most egregiously the Grand Bank off Newfoundland. It was as if this didn't exist, to read Lomborg. Pure sophistry.

Aside from that Lomborg has the peculiar notion that if a resource isn't for a specific economic purpose that it is to be disregarded. Thus, saving national and world park reserves has no merit in his scheme of things. He's just a lunkhead, with a way of lying with statistics. And no soul.
