I suppose you think since 1979 and under the guidance of Islam, Quran, and Mohammand its prophet and his groupies (the likes of Khomeini), the regime that is currently running the country is filled with democratic values filled with love, and freedom and hope for a better future! I'm not surprised you think that, though it is not at all what I said: the West (U.S., Britain, etc.) could stop suppressing secular nationalism in the Middle East, so that the people don't have to turn to radical Islam as an outlet for their frustrations. The CIA's overthrew the popularly-elected Mossadegh, and installed in his place a dictator (the Shah). That is anti-democratic. Tom
