Well, although we all condole with Mr Pearl's family and especially his wife Marianne, I think we shouldn't be too credulous about the details of that painful ordeal.... I for one would take the beheading of Pearl with a grain of salt: Pearl was coldly assassinated, sure enough --but cutthroated and beheaded?! I believe that "juicy" detail is as bogus as the "incubator slaying" spinned by Hill & Knowlton on the eve of Desert Storm, back in 1991.... Remember:

As for Daniel Pearl being an undercover spook or just a candid yet dauntless Jewish-American journalist, well, I guess it's irrelevant. I mean, tell me the difference between a seasoned, globe-trotting Jewish-American journalist on the Wall Street Journal's South Asia desk and one of the many CIA/Mossad informants in that much troubled area?? I guess it's self-evident. BTW, it's a well-known fact that most NGOs/relief agencies and news/media outfits involved/deployed in hot spots are crawling with spooks --whether from CIA or Mossad, FSB, DGSE or you name it! After all, the video of Pearl's execution itself was delivered to an FBI agent posing as.... a journalist:
