Raymond,

I did not endorse all of his findings uncritically. I agree with you about the fish (Economist has great article on this in current issue); and, I think his critics are correct about the issue of local environmental problems.

Does this destroy his synthetic contribution in other areas? In general terms, I think not. You can nit-pick about small areas. These specifics become debatable.

What bothers me is that Science mag. editor suggested science itself was under attack by Lomborg. This is incorrect. Science mag. (last I knew) has refused to allow him to reply. Additionally, in Wisconsin last week, one local Public Radio program and one national NPR (with Lovejoy and Wilson) promoted criticism of Lomborg, but he was not present to defend himself. This was a fair process (not).

You don't like his lack of "soul." I understand that to mean you don't like his politics. Perhaps you embrace the ethics (sic) of S. Schneider who advocates scaring the public via distorted, politicized 'science' on Global Warming? Seems few are afraid of the distortion of science. Hello the ghost of Galileo!
