NAS weekly volume. More distribution. 1.4 bil up volume and 5.9 bil down volume. There were 1486 advancers and 2495 decliners. The nas ended the week 81 points down.

On the NYSE, although the Dow was up 65 points for the week the NYSE was down 3 and the S&P was down 14. Volume showed distribution 2bil up and 3.3 bil down volume. Advancers lead decliners 1712 to 1638.

Something appears to be going on with the DOW. Over the last 20 days the DOW is slightly up while the SPX is down almost 5% and the Nas down about 12%. The Wilshire 5000 was down 136 points or down 1.3%. The bull's have retreated that they only have one "hill" to defend. Much effort seems to be going into keeping the DOW proped up. Here's a comparison chart.

Total volume in the DOW and the Nas was down from the previous week. The Nas volume was down 9% and the NYSE volume was down 12%.
FWIW,
Joe
