Help! I'm flummoxed again!

I have three computers, two are new. The new ones are assembled by a friend from components researched and picked by me. They are identical except for two things: O/S in one is Windows 98, the other Windows 2000 Professional; both machines share a cable internet modem via a router, but the 98 machine may also have a phone modem because of a long held ISP provider and their e-mail address.

Here' the first part of my dilemma: The old machine (which is Windows 95)has all the e-mails on it and I want to transfer them from the old 95 to at least the new 98 machine but don't know how to do it. All machines have Outlook Express.

Second part of the problem is: Do I still need to keep a phone modem to access the old email server?

Thanks for your help!
