Kary,
When I found a potential stock, I would like to buy it before the
funds swarm into it. The institutional ownerships of 30% - 40% is my
favorite figure. If the figure goes up over 90%, I always think it is
an alarm for individual investors.

I don't think they are doing on purpose, if it happens. I think they are professionals and they know better than the small
shareholders do.They know what they are doing. Small shareholders don't know what the big guys doing. If you know them, take actions (positive or negative) before they do and you are the big winner.
If you ask me, "How do you feel about AAPL?" My answers are, "I have confidence and I can tolerate my budget adding my positions at this low price."
