On the subject of morality....

Today's Boston Globe draws an interesting parallel between the upcoming trial of the Dartmouth professors teen killers, and the famous Loeb-Leopold case of the 1920s:

Loeb and Leopold, the original thrill killers, rationalized their crime on the basis of the teachings of Nietzche, that there are some exceptional people to whom the ordinary standards of morality do not apply. Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "Rope," was loosely based on this case.
