I've started looking at Tyson (TSN) as my next purchase. Their acquisition of IBP is going well. Their cash flow is strong, so they can pay down the debt they assumed in the IBP deal. The dark cloud is the tangle with US Gov't over immigration law violations. This won't impact the company over the short haul.

Compared to the Food Processing Industry their PE is lower than average, but that may be due to their relatively low net margins (1.5% vs 6.2%) and ROE (10.5% vs 28%). Is there anything specific to look for in the food processing business that warns of trouble ahead?
