AMERICAN TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION ANNOUNCES HSS(R) LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH SHOWORKS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP
(SAN DIEGO, California, February 25, 2002)--American Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: ATCO) today announced that Showorks Entertainment Group has signed a licensing agreement to use the company's HyperSonic Sound(R) (HSS) in its Location Based Entertainment installations.
Showorks Entertainment Group, based in Orlando, Florida, is a global, award-winning company with Location Based Entertainment (LBE) credits which include Men in Black Alien Attack, Terminator 2 3D Show, The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, Experience Music Project, GM Pavilion, Twister: The Experience, and Batman Stunt Spectacular. For over 20 years, Showorks has been one of the industry's top companies, providing creative development, content production and sophisticated technologies for a wide range of industries.
Showorks customers include Universal Studios, Six Flags Parks, Paramount Parks, Walt Disney World, Iwerks, Hard Rock Cafe, Dodger Stadium, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Apollo/Saturn V Visitors Center, Atlantis Resort, and the Fashion Show Mall (Las Vegas), among thousands of others.
