At any hint of a religious war, we can always count on $Mars to post something to remind us all of alternative religious beliefs. It's a given--like humid Washington summers. And Laz was just being Laz with his itchy trigger finger. If he doesn't mention nukes, I don't consider that an attack. In either case, they weren't attacks against you but more against that same old Christian-nation blah, blah. The ensuing discussion about killing Christians was tongue-in-cheek banter. I included the requisite "g" as did E. Just a little bonding among us pagans, IMO.
As for what you did "wrong," well, nothing, except lose sight of the turnips.
As for what provoked my rebuttals, JC said the US was like Saudi Arabia, I pointed out the difference, JC deflected my concerns without accepting my distinction. You then restated the "Christian nation" terminology, thus taking reinforcing JC exception to my distinction, so I pressed on. I didn't want to let that stand, that's all.
