The phrase is often used with hostility, that's why it's met with hostility. There are lots of words that provoke hostility. Add "Christian nation" to the list. Use it if you want, but don't play innocent if you get a reaction. I recognize now that "invisible friend" is on the list. You can recognize "Christian nation."
