<everyone in housing, art says biz...> I guess the big difference between us and japan as they we are determined to bankrupt ourselves thru the consumer vs. government (them)..If we can pull out (and stay out of this recession w/o double dip) it'll be the 1st time my research shows that the consumer did NOT have to pull back signifcantly (build savings) before a bottom...rewriting the rules as it were..

Having said this, both real estate and (likely) art are benefitting from a "cash in the stock market chips, let's find some other area of investment that we understand" mentality by young and old alike...real estate and art being 2 things one can SEE and TOUCH (maybe to deteriment of bonds? No one keeps certificates anymore)...after getting burned by vague/bold "promises" of internet glory..
