Telecom firm Qulacomm, meanwhile, saw its shares ascend 6 percent in trading before the official opening bell. Qualcomm (NasdaqNM: QCOM - news) reaffirmed its fiscal second-quarter earnings projections thanks to continued positive momentum in the build-out of third-generation code division multiple access networks. The company also said it had $2.4 billion in cash and essentially no debt.

Spoke with my rep at Sprint concerning problems I have been having with my service.....he said my phone is now obsolete, and sprint is heavily shipping their new 3g phones.....gotta be good for qcom......I mean royalties are "high profit margin" profits.....qcom should collect alot of royalties as more and more adopt their technology......I am not buying or selling qcom....just holding what shares I have left from 2 or 3 years ago, and hoping in 5 or 10 years, they are worth something......
