But I thought GM came out today and said sales were going to skyrocket? After all, by saying that they prevented their stock from collapsing when they also announced the 2.5 convertible billion bond offering.

Hmm, no way a big company could lie to people in order to maniuplate their stock like that. There must be another answer. ?
