Mythman, remember 1987 ?? the housing market peaked only in 1989 and brought about the S&L debacle something like $180 to $250 billion went "puff". and thereafter a recession.

A NYC guy I know was doing fabulous then ....... later in 1992/3 filed for Chapter 11 and guess what ...... now he is riding a new MB 500 and again riding high ........ on tons of new debt

..... and more so remember inflation is only 2% a year but house prices rose 10% to 20% a year ....... geeeeeee lets get this second mortgage ........ .oh well what a country with the biggest scam artist in high position in the government ........ publishing reliable economic statistics .......... and then they complain about Enron ......what a shame ..... FNM is so different
