What is so bad about $5 a month for unlimited browsing with Bell Canada?

Here's the info on Bell Canada....

The operator said it would offer 1X data rate plans starting at C$25 a month for 3 megabytes of data. It also announced an introductory offer of C$50 for unlimited use for six months, while low-frequency users can choose to pay on a per-use basis at a rate of C$15 per megabyte. #reply-17064260

I'm sure that your $5 was just a typo. But even the $50 is just an introductory offer. It'll be interesting to what they do after that. Folks won't be too happy if they go back to a ridiculous price. I wouldn't bet a couple of hundred bucks on a laptop modem though. 15$ per Mb is pretty funny. That 1.6 Gb file I downloaded a few weeks ago would have cost me $24,000!

I know it's early in the game as mentioned in the CC today. Perhaps they'll be reasonable eventually. It'll be fun to watch ATT when 1xEV DO rolls out.

By the way, you have to admit it was very nice of us to loan you Brett Hull to play for your side (Canadian -- Born: 8/09/64 in Belleville, Ontario). OK, looks like we'd better quit with those hockey posts. <g>
