That's quite a tidbit...

One issue I haven't see addressed is how much can one user consume? The firehose only needs to be big enough for full-mo video in hi-res, the rest is file-swapping among backbone servers, I would think, if latency is reduced to circuit-net speeds.

Even so, 25x sounds like a correct order of magnitude, considering few have DSL and noone has full-mo hi-res yet in the home retail market.

More to the point, what this does to long-haul when aggregating multi-megabits from hundreds of millions of users is make it fashionable to be in the undersea fiber biz again.
