Consumer sentiment numbers always seem bogus to me regardless of what they say. This time around they might have less confidence but do not seem to have reduced consumption. Last month they had more confidence but does it really reflect purchasing. But you are right about one thing, market needs to shrug this off today to sustain a rally. Also michigan numbers have always seemed better to me and last month they were lower. We will see what they bring. mike
