UK Treasury to auction 20 tonnes of gold on March 5

The UK Treasury will auction 20 tonnes of gold on March 5, according to the Bank of England.

The auction will be the last in a series of six.

In March last year, the Treasury announced that it would sell approximately 120 tonnes of gold.

The sale will end the restructuring of the UK's official reserves, announced in May 1999.
