Bush's fuzzy history My "headline" Bush rewrites history again was a reasonably accurate representation of the quoted article headline and main sentiment. (The "again" refers to the 150 year friendship claim in the speech as the first rewrite of history). The State Department's Web site reports the speech accurately (I listened to it myself; Bush really said that). The White House's site, however, offers a different take on reality. My second post was an elaboration on my opinion of why the WhiteHouse applied a 1984 themed edit to the speech. TP
