The real victims would be SI readers, since i doubt your brew phone will ever sport a full-featured html browser capable of allowing you to post on SI <g>. I don't think the internet (wired or otherwise) will make the PC go away, comments by you or larry ellison notwithstanding.

Microsoft's involvement with wireless is about convergence... handheld computers capable of taking PC files off desktops/servers AND still connect to the internet. It could be compatible with and doesn't compete with BREW, although it might render BREW unnecessary or redundant for those classes of devices.
