To love The Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul is the Golden Rule of Christianity, and also of Judaism, the religion that Christianity stemmed from. But why have you taken
And the rest of your post was spoken like a true Christian , I wouldn't dare argue it's dogma for the spirit and your sincerity shines thru pretty clearly J. Kenyon .
I would add only that the timeline of the Jews is not representative of the timeline of all the people's of the earth , and he whom you call Christ may be called by other names by others . What you call the Laws of God for the Jews , were known long before as "The Dharma" for the Hindu . History is much more than what is written in the Old Testament ...the Veda's are far older than that in an case.
It's easy for the Hindu to accept any legitamate religious belief as the right and correct one though . For there is only truth , which is why the Hindu's could never be overcome by Christianity or overrun by Islam . They already had established their own messiah's , prophets saints and Christs long before, and after Moses.
Hinduism is the Mother . The Vedas are the eldest written scriptures of man . And they contain much of the mystery.
Christianity and Islam are young by comparison . It is a very sad statement though , to say there is/was no religion before Christ...it was that "exclusionism" and narrow history that would never allow me to be a " Christian ", Moslem , or a Jew.
For the term "Religion" means "to know " ?
And I was never fond of the persecution and misunderstandings caused by such dogma , though it's intent was meant to be liberating . But what is symbolic and most important is the example . I just look farther back than you for my examples to those that lived longer and taught more lucidly and clearly .
Long as you are seeing God everyday , that's all that matters right ?
(oops , I wasn't going to talk of Dogma ...oh well.)
