Well, XLNX closed down 3 1/8, ALTR down 1 1/2, LSCC down 1 3/8, and good old ACTL was up 1/8. Anyone want to speculate on why ACTL gets ignored in the latest debacle? I can understand getting spared in a MOT or HWP whacking, but whaddup with an increase on the heals of industry leader Xilinx throwing cold water all over calendar Q3 prospects? Is ACTL such a contra play amongst the institutionals that it comes in under the radar? Is ACTL gaining market share for the first time in years? Is the whacking lurking just around the corner when everybody remembers, "Oh yeah, they make FPGA's!"

Lets watch and wait as ALTR announces earnings pre-market on the 17th and they too have cold water to throw on calendar Q3. I don't even know when LSCC reports, though on June 17th they pre-announced that quarterly revenue would drop sequentially 8-10%, and as a result "quarterly earnings will be impacted." Don't expect them to be cheery about calender Q3.

So whaddup with ACTL? Will they meet the street's 17 cents? Probably. Will they beat it? Not likely. Will they dance on the table regarding Q3 outlook? Not likely. Will they bleed all over Q3 prospects? Not likely as well. Expect a nice conservative middle of the road earnings announcement and no real bounce up or down...
