The Rambus announcement is significant - but will apply when Intel introduces the 533 MHz FSB Pentium 4 along with the Tehama-E chip set that runs the 1066 MHz Rambus memory.

The increased speed will be of value to anyone who needs high performance - graphics artists, CAD designers, musicians/recording engineers doing MP3 recording, etc.
