Cone 8 is completely down on the top peep hole.

Can't make out much on the lower onbes, I think they are down.
Cone 9 on top is also damn close to down also. And I can't see my cone 10. When I put it in, I must have backgrounded that part with a piece and it all blends together.

Anyhow, pyrometer says only 2000F, but I definitely have a yellow color in there. Opened the flue almost completely after last post. That did the trick bringing up the temp.
I just put it into a decent reduction. Still have blue flames from flue, but mixed with orange flame. Have orange flame from peep holes and cracks in the roof here asnd there(that's fine).

I'm about 60 feet away from the kiln, here in another room where the tele line is, and it sounds like a tornado is roaring in the back ground.

I'm pretty confident I am really vclose to a cone 10 by now(time considered typing this. I will leave it in a reduction and increase it(reduction) ever so slightly until I begin to lose temp. Than I'll open it up a tad to keep the temp steady, keep a reduction going for about another hour or so than turn the burners on low for about 10 minutes.
Shut off gas, cose the flue and all port holes and go home drink a beer and GO TO SLEEP! Today is what? tuesday evening? okay, I will then plan on opening it Thursday morning,/afternoon.

Hopefully no more snafu posts :)))))))))
