Tim Re...I still want my HDTV!<<<<<<

Actually, I have a HDTV. While the picture is excellent compared to my old analog receiver, there isn't a huge difference between the normal digital HBO channel and the high density channel. If you have analog now, upgrade to digital first as 90% of the improvement will be there. The TV stores are also selling a so called near high density TV, which is digital and has twice, I believe, the
scan lines of normal TV, but half as many as HDTV. This would in itself be a big improvement, without much of the HDTV costs. This is not to talk you out of HDTV, but rather to say the near high density costs half as much, there are more transmiters, and costs half as much, and will do until there is a higher no. of HDTV broadcasts.
