I will begin by saying I am sorry for stating that you don't care about the beliefs of others.

On to the next point. You stated, Self centered world? I agree. A world where people create many Gods to "save" them, or to be very concerned about them, is indeed a self centered world. This same God I believe to be concerned with me is concerned for you. You are His creation, and you have forgiveness in His Son Jesus Christ. However, there is more to it than this. We must deny ourselves, take up our own cross and follow in Christ's steps. For the person you think you are is but a slave to the enemy of mankind, or Satan. For everyone belongs to either God or Satan, and there is no middle ground. That is the great deception. You think you are an individual, but you are only a tool of the devil, manifesting the same rebellious attitude towards God that Satan has. Be reconciled to God. It is available to you through Jesus Christ, God's Son.

That belief and disbelief do not matter much as long as your primary goal is to do as little harm as possible and as much good. Is that reality? So many people have believed they were doing good and harm comes from it. So I agree with you that it is difficult to determine what is "good" and what is "harm". The only way to achieve the perfect good is through love based on righteousness. This brings us back to Christ, who has become our righteousness.

1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him (God) that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
