Mish, I think the picture might be clearer early next week.

If we have a high today (cycle high, change in trend) we could drop to our low by the next cycle low, which is either Friday or Monday. That could be a re-test of the recent lows or a new lower low.

If it is a re-test of the recent lows, then the Max Pain numbers for March could be operative if they hold. If not, we may see delta hedging and some ugly selling in early March.
